i think i'm missing out on alot of value here. I was once told to check raise on wet boards when i have a good piece of it. is this true?

Yes. I do it a bit on both the flop and the turn. I really like doing this when a flop is much more likely to hit my range than villain's. If villain is fairly tight, and I put him on an overpair, I will sometimes wait to do a check raise on the turn when a card comes that is well coordinated with the board and my perceived range. If he just calls there then I will often throw out a big river bet. It's very hard to call here as villain on such a well coordinated board with a bunch of middle cards.

Imo you should c/r flops that hit opponent range better not the other way around

Where is the value in c/r a flop that hits villain's perceived range? I think that would be burning money...unless of course I hit that flop well. If villain is going to put me on a certain range of hands because I am in the blinds then I might as well take advantage of that when a flop comes out that hits that range...especially if that range gets even stronger on a turn card. Right???

Well if flop hits you more then your opponent if you check then he is going to check beck most of the times sou you are missing value and if you c/r,so you should bet flop that hits your range better and by c/r flops that hits V more then you you are protecting your checks so he cant bet flop with some junk or semi strong hands knowing that you going to c/f most of the times or c/c letting him to decide if he wants to bet again ott or he want to give himself a free card
