Another aggro whale on 50NL ignition. Is this always 4x or is this an idiot betting 6x/77/88 without thinking enough to raise for value?

NL Holdem $0.50(BB)
SB ($47.67) [VPIP: 40% | PFR: 5% | AGG: 60% | 3-Bet: 0% | Hands: 21]
BB ($49.97) [VPIP: 25% | PFR: 0% | AGG: 62.5% | 3-Bet: 0% | Hands: 20]
CO ($50.94) [VPIP: 35.5% | PFR: 22.6% | AGG: 23.1% | 3-Bet: 0% | Hands: 32]
HERO ($49.25) [VPIP: 27.1% | PFR: 21.3% | AGG: 37.5% | 3-Bet: 9.1% | Hands: 70890]

Dealt to Hero: 9 9

CO Folds, HERO Raises To $1.50, SB Calls $1.25, BB Calls $1

Hero SPR on Flop: [10.26 effective]
Flop ($4.50): 4 4 6
SB Bets $2.77 (Rem. Stack: 43.40), BB Folds, HERO Calls $2.77 (Rem. Stack: 44.98)

Turn ($10.04): 4 4 6 4
SB Checks, HERO Checks

River ($10.04): 4 4 6 4 2
SB Bets $12.92 (Rem. Stack: 30.48)

We need to be good roughly 35% of the time.

I’d probably reluctantly call

I'd bet turn small
capture some equity
buy a cheap showdown. prob fold if he x/r big

I'm confused, is it as a bluff or for value? You may be very high in your range but your hand is a bluffcatcher in this situation and villain can easily have better ovp's.

Maybe the whale justifies that? I very much doubt it but I wasn't there.

It would take some mental ******ation for villain to take this line and call a river raise with a worse hand than yours.
Just calling river.

For the results sickos, V had Kh6d (I just called). After the hand I had second doubts about whether I could've squeezed more EV out of a 40/5 with a high aggression rating

Maybe we need a different thread for hands against moronic player pools

I bet turn vs the sb fish and consider raising flop.

Balance and range considerations out the window vs this guy. Im calling, way more 6x and nonsense in his range then 4x or anything that beats us.

I'm for just calling, but herocalls with Ace high happen here all the time.

Why the hell would A-high donk 3way on the flop, check the turn and overbet the river lol.
I mean I've seen weirder things happen but that would be some huge monkey button clicking.

Most of our opponents are just clicking buttons, sir.

To some degree yeah, but usually there's some common denominator in fishes' lines, while this would simply be maniacal spew, something I'd not suppose to ever happen unless I have some pretty decisive notes about villain.

Sorry about my tone. Doesn't communicate well via the internet. I was being hyperbolic. I don't expect A-high much and would underweigh it in an unknown Villain's range, but it shows up often enough to just be a heh moment when it does.

Just calling river. We unblock bluffs, hard to be beat. He caps his range on turn. Probably way over-bluffing spades on the river as a fish...Hard to fold imo.

SB will sometimes x/raise with 4x on the flop too so not always 100% in his river range I imagine.

Bet turn. AP I'm just calling when he overbets the river.
