to donk or not that is the question... to donk or not that is the question...

Ok guys, This pot is not the most interesting in the world, but after reviewing I was asking myself if it was wrong to not donk here. Guy is raising from EP so I thought that I would get at least a cbet if I check, maybe a double barrel.the board is so dry and I only fear a K...

Vilain is 19/17 with aggro of 2.25 he cbets 68% (9 hands) otf and 100% (only 2 hands) ott I have only 80 hands vs him

then ott I felt like a donk here might get called more lightly since I look like I want to take a stab at the pot. When he calls I thought he just got a piece of it or he has AK...

then otr when A hits I felt like AK, AT was good part of his range so I bet again. Then when he reraises, I feel like again AK and AT is big part of his range so just decided to call (because TT, KJ is also possible with the way he played here)

So to donk or not on flop? what about river play?

This is why you bet TPTK on the flop, just take the pot there and then and be happy. As played, bigger bet on the turn to really charge the draw as any broadway card that isn't a Q is a scare card. As it is, it's hard not to pay V off. You beat any weaker two pair or AK but slow played sets and the straight are all within reason.

Definitely, bet the flop. It will get you out of a ton of sticky situations later.

Oh, and I think I'm 3-betting light on that river against most opponents.

I like the cut of your jib!

It will get costly though and if V does have a set or straight I don't think you get them off it on this board?
