Villian is an agro fish 51/42/4, but I'm really not sure if I should call here or not.

I fold as well. You are really only beating a bluff. I like your turn barrel though.

c/c, c/c, bet is rarely a bluff. He might do this with something like a J, but he will not often enough to call.

If we ever wanted to call this, we would just shove ourselves, yes?

Why do you think we would do that?

He's probably not shoving w/ a Jx here, so he's either got you beat or he's bluffing. He called 2 streets and there weren't very many draws on the flop (and Tx made up a good portion of that range), plus he could easily play this way with a K.

I fold.

I don't. Which is why we're folding now.

But in general, what reasons would we have to make a plan to c/c river AI rather than just shoving?

While I feel that check/folding on the river is the correct play, I'm more curious about the continuation bet on the turn.

After he calls the flop bet there is about 2 pot sized bets left. I understand that the villain is a probably a $2nl fish, and I admit I haven't played there in awhile, but I'm curious as to what hands you guys think the villain would call the flop and turn with that does not have us in real bad shape.

Although we did pick up an open ender on the turn, the only hands I can legitimately see him continuing with that we're a favorite against is like AJ, QJ, J9, and maybe an odd A10?

I guess a better question is if villain calls the turn bet, are we check/folding all non - ace rivers?

Misread what you were getting at. I thought you were indicating a check/shove over a small bet.

In general at these stakes you won't have a villain that will shove more hands than he will call. That's really what you are looking for. Given you've bet the flop and the turn you've decreased his bluffing frequency so betting is better than c/c.

C/c flop and turn is probably a better line versus this villain though.

I have no doubt this guy would call to the river with Jx, or Tx or a lower pair. I did decide to fold, because I felt that Kx and Tx now had me beat, and that made up about 60% of his range. This guy would have called the flop bet with ATC, the turn bet I felt like his range was probably narrowed down to Kx, Jx, Tx equal parts of each and maybee a straight draw or even possibly a made straight but very low chances of the straight or straight draw. When the Ten hit on the river I figured that any K or T and the possible straight now had me beat, so I reluctantly folded.
