The player was a pretty tight and straight forward player 10 vpip 9 pr over a couple hundred and really didnt see very much aggression post flop so I was really weighting him over pair and NF type hands when he raised me. Hindsight I should probably just jam turn, but didnt and wasnt sure if I should call river. I really didnt think hed have too many 10s in range other than 1010 and A10s.

I would had folded the river given the reads. Players like that SHOULD abuse their image to generate folds here, but in reality nits very rarely understand that and they have Tx close to 100% of times.

You could have avoided this situation by playing more aggressively before the river though. I personally would had just reraised the flop, as half of the deck is either gonna cause a suckout or kill the action. On this particular board it's not that bad if the opponent folds to the reraise (although you obviously hope he shoves), as the hand often becomes trickier to play for value on further streets. Slowplaying sets on dangerous boards is something I rarely do, unless it's for some image reason against a reg you play against every day. And even then it's rare.

Okay, I agree defineltly missed on the flop with a raise ill need to notate it because thats something ive been trying to work on is finding more raises on flops and the texture I should making said raises. Makes sense on the river fold too the should vs reality when it comes to nits is tough but now that you say it and when I think about all the tighter players in the pool with an overpair and missed FD are checking very frequently on these run outs.
