Keep these pictures coming, you have a talented eye

really nice shots. Whenever i see a 'scape like this in person i think "there is no way in hell a camera can capture this...it's just something you have to experience and see in person yourself"...

but seriously...you did a great job of capturing that

pheisar, i liked the look of the first one so i elected to keep it, not sure what i was thinking in the second one though, makes the moose look kinda weird. TY for the criticism though, and TBH I love when people give me pointers

TY Split, i'd like to some day be able to do a better job with the lighting off clouds and such, because that was a big problem for this trip.

A co-worker just asked me "So you'd go brokeback there"

Lindsey (GF) was worried about that, but my friend and I weren't there long enough to have the urge

Sick amazing photos. I have always wanted to go to Alaska. Supposed to be extremely beautiful and amazingly good fishing. Will remember this place for a future hiking trip hopefully.

how much would you estimate the total cost was?

How did you pick where to hike to/at?How did you know where to go while hiking?

I did a google search and guided trips cost like 2500+ LOL.

I work for an airline so my airfare was free, and my friends was $70 round trip.

The car rental was $180 for the entire trip, bus tickets inside the park were $25 each, $20 entry fee I think.

Besides that it's just camping equipment, which I spent a decent chunk on ($60 backpack, $30 knife, $45 sleeping bag, $80 food, some other stuff I"m sure) but that's all stuff we can use again so it's not "cost".

The park rangers had a huge map of the places to camp (the park, size of rhode island, was separated into 38 (IIRC) plots of land). They had pics and descriptions of each one and we chose the ones that were flatter, by river beds, and had foliage.
