I lead turn as a standard.

I would only check the turn to him if I was looking to punish him for being too floaty and would c/c c/c.

Bet turn for sure. As played I think river is prob a call...triumph loves to bet and merge and bluff etc etc etc.

Could someone analyze this from a "top of your range" standpoint...I'm not too familiar with that logic.

You guys both like leading turn. Is your default to fold if raised?

I can not find a fold (barring any specific dynamic you can offer to persuade me otherwise).

Also, I have no problem with your turn line if you call. If you fold, I do not like your turn line one bit.

ya, i b/f turn mostly.

if he is uber floaty, then yea, i guess u can c/c, c/c... But i mostly prefer betting the turn.

I'm not sure why everyone is advocating for betting the turn.

Turn is good, and I think it's ok to call the river vs him.

yeah, if i had any info he was bluffy i would insta call river...i really felt QJ was a likely holding here...I dont mind bet folding the turn...bc AK is def part of our range if we bet the turn, its very unlikely we will ever get bluff raised, and we can fairly safely toss AQ i think...if i check call the turn, do i have to check call the river with this hand? obv nothing changed, i guess i just felt it was more likely he had me beat with his large river bet...

I think I bet turn but I don't mind check this deep since we don't want to play for stacks

I think this would just be this: We are at the top of our range so he can be trying to bluff out hands worse than ours (increasing the likelyhood of a bluff) and he can be trying to get a call from worse. The second seems somewhat unlikely in this case but he could prob VB AJ or AQ.

Anyway I think its a call.

Nah, the top of our range argument would dictate a turn fold. We have no hand that can stand a turn and river bet, so we should cut our losses and get out.

The turn call/river fold is the same line as the bet/fold turn. The main difference between this two lines is that in the bet turn line we have a strong hands in our distribution, but in the call turn/river fold, our range is gutted unless a draw comes in. To make the call/fold line as effective as the bet/fold line. We would need to play a strong hand in a call/call c/r river manner.

This is one of the hidden reasons why most players are advocating bet/folding the turn. They discovered this intuitively.

b/f but as played you have to look him up on the river otherwise turn check is pointless and spewy imo

triumph is not betting this rver with a j, or a 9 suited, and 3 way its kinda inconcievable he has a pure float so id just let it go, triumph might bluff if he called the flop with an eight but a ten hed probably check behind as the bluffing with that hand is meh. i wouldnt even be suprised to see him have pocket 8's to be honest
