BTN: $9.86 (246.5 bb)
Hero (SB): $4.24 (106 bb)
BB: $1.50 (37.5 bb)
UTG+2: $3.07 (76.8 bb)
MP1: $6.42 (160.5 bb)
MP2: $3.43 (85.8 bb)
MP3: $2.94 (73.5 bb)
CO: $4.70 (117.5 bb) 18/15 9AF 39ATS 340hands

Preflop: Hero is SB with A K
4 folds, CO raises to $0.14, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.12, BB folds

I didn't 3 bet preflop b/c there seems to be little fold equity at these stakes and I dont want to be OPP in a 3bet pot. I also want to get value from Ax,Kx, hands on Axx, Kxx flops.

Flop: ($0.32) 8 8 K (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.21, Hero calls $0.21

Given his propensity for aggression I thought just calling and hoping he fires on turn was the best line.

Turn: ($0.74) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.55, Hero calls $0.55

Raise for value here?

River: ($1.84) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.92, Hero?

Raise or call?

3b pre, our range looks wider from the blinds, and so we get called lighter (KJs,KQ,AJs,AQ). I think we miss out on too much value by not 3betting.

I think vs this villain, calling down is just fine. I don't really think we get much value OTR by raising. I'm also happy flatting OTT to keep all of his bluffs in his range.

Any stats on his foldto3bet?

esMerel is right though. His range is going to be much wider for calling your 3bet. Being OOP in a 3bet pot isn't as bad when you have taken the aggression advantage. And yeah, i agree that calling this down is the way to go. Raising will just narrow his range and knock out all his bluffs.

As a side, a villain like this is likely to make a note of how you played this...called him down with TPTK on a dry board...as well as flatting AK from the SB verses his LP raise. I think it's good for you yourself to note that villain has seen you do this and take advantage of that information later on. It may not be AS useful at these limits but it's certainly good practice.

Fold to 3 bet was 50(6), his fold to re-steal was 50(2).

Both flatting and 3betting pre have their benefits. Against a high fold to resteal villain who cbets too much we can flat pre and check/call or check/raise a lot of flops. Against a low fold to cbet and a wide opening range we can 3b for value pre and bet lots of flops and turns.

As played in this hand check calling down looks fine. Check raising the flop would make more sense than check raising the river.
