c-betting the pot c-betting the pot

Lots of threads mention c-betting less then the full size of the pot, personally I always bet the pot, or close to it, except for rare situations.

By betting the pot for both FE and value in the same way whether I hit or miss, am I still loosing out by essentially putting more money in the pot on a bluff, or because I bet the same amount for c-bets and value does it balance out?

Is there any reason to drop to 1/2 - 3/4 betting when I'm only 100 BB's deep instead of 200 - 250?

Thanks

the idea of betting half the pot when you are c-betting is that you make something that works for just the amount you need it to work

if your opponent is gonna fold to 1$ in a 1$ pot, he would prob. fold it too with 0.60$

just bet what you need to get the job done, easy as that

There's usually no point in betting much more than half pot on the dryer boards because they'll almost always miss and if they decide to bluff raise you they probably would have done it anyway if they notice that you pot any flop texture. Actually, they'd be even more enticed to steal from you as opposed to someone that typically bets smaller on dry boards... ducy?

Observant players will just take more money from you over time, and you'll also be unnecessarily leaking more to bad players that play fit or fold.

At these stakes, most bad players are not changing their calling and folding ranges based on how much you bet...so its generally acceptable to adjust your bet sizes when the board is dry or wet and when you have it or don't.

i go with half to 2/3 pot bets. I will do this whether I miss or not. You must keep your real bets the same, because observant opponents will see the difference in your bet sizes. Pot bets are usually useless. I will pot a turn when i hit my set and someone is obviously drawing, because i am going to make them pay for it
