I checked turn without really thinking/had a lapse of judgement - my standard is to barrel this hand in this spot

Not sure if this is even an overbet spot as played with anything but a hand like the one I have since villain can have all two pair with the ace other than AK

I'd fold the river, villain would have to be taking a hand like QhTx offsuit and taking this line, and floating it on flop.

Flop is going to get checked SB vs BB a lot

river: explain why a check call / 1/2 pot bet fold is inappropriate here?

Playing a good SBvsBB strategy OOP is so tilting lol, these days I default check like 80-90% of my range OTF, but it's just beacuse I don't know what the f* should I do, it's not like I think it's optimal or whatever.
Pros and cons of checking/betting this flop?
Anyway about river, if I had to guess I would usually think that population is usually value heavy when they shove vs an overbet.

V has a bunch of offsuit pairs and draws that hero doesnt so the equities are pretty close here even though V caps his range pre. Checking all of your range is definitely the smaller mistake between that and betting small with whole range on this kind of board.

The way to split your range here into bets and checks in my opinion is to check the best 9s and bet the worse ones. Reason being that the better 9s have less scare cards on future streets since you hit 2p on them. Also betting something like A9dd would be alright since you start building a pot in case the bdfd comes in.

Since you are checking a lot strong hands OTF you can start x/r a lot too, for example with heros holding here.

I think it would be the opposite but I'm not 100%.

Wouldn't you bet the the better ones to get value from the worse ones?

Also a hand like 98s has more beneficial turn cards than a hand like A9

Gonna have to check on this one.

Looks like we are both wrong here.

Way to split up is-->Bet the suited 9x with BDFD first at 100% frequency

Then bet your offsuit ones/suited non BDFD 9x at a mixed frequency. It is literally like 50/50 with all of them so however you want to split it- is up to you.
