Do you guys play this any differant? I've only got 4 hands on this guy and I think I'm losing to much value by not betting the river against a KQ/KJ type hand.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.06(BB) Replayer Game#8339932514

Hero ($6.86)
BB ($6)
BTN ($8.33)

Dealt to Hero AA

call, Hero raises to $0.21, call,

FLOP ($0.42) K57

Hero bets $0.43, BTN calls $0.43,

TURN ($1.28) K57T

Hero bets $1.14, BTN calls $1.14,

RIVER ($3.56) K57T2

Hero bets $1.32, BTN raises to $2.64, Hero folds

If you are betting for value, why are you only betting 1/3rd of the pot?

Well I had it in my mind that I was bet/folding this river. how much would you bet? and are you still folding to a raise?

My thoughts with the smaller bet size was to get calls from weak kings but knowing I can fold this to a raise as i'm usually not good.

If u bet 1/3rd pot on the river...it shows yr hand is weak...call for god sakes...if u lose thats a cooler. It's making yr hand looking like a bluff or a induce hand. U have to call by the way. Since u dont have history on villain and u pot every streets. i think most of the time yr way ahead of weak's villain's range which is..."suited hands"(unlikely but could happen if villain is bad as u pot every streets and u have good reverse implied odds. He could also be set mining u...and slowplaying u...in this case KK is more unlikley as most villain would 3bet this hand(this does not mean all, as some fish cold call KK OOP, Potting the river and turn u know that when he calls he have ''something'' for sure. by c-betting the river with standard size u would play this hand much easier. if yr raise is trying to induce then of course call his river raise.

No. Calling river is bad. Our opponents don't realize that you're weak on the river. They see a bet and they think "do I beat aces???". If they do, they raise. If they don't, they call.

no, losing is not a cooler. why is it that whenever we lose with aces we assume it's a cooler? that's ******ed. in any case, i think bet/fold here is incredibly weak -- i'd say check/call is probably getting you more value here. he's betting a larger portion of his range than he's calling/raising, imo.

Don't make a weak bet on a scary card and then fold. Up to the river this is very good. On the river you can even c/f without reads.

1/2 pot bet and fold to a raise is perfect. Good river fold OP not a lot of people at microstakes can do that. To believe that we are being bluffed here means that villain has to be capable of interpreting our line as weakness, and he has to have a hand that can bluff. The only thing you can ever get bluffed by is weird straight draws that aren't in a lot of players PF range, or a weak pair that somehow got to the river and now decides to turn it into a bluff.

So I think the hand looks very good but I would bet just a little more on river, not a big deal though.
