Preflop I think I was too loose, but as I saw that my opponent is making a mistake preflop by min 3beting, so I defend with 5s 2s on SB

From about 5k hands that I played today, this hand was one of the most remember ones, and I want to share with you.

How did I read my opponent?

From his preflop play, I put him on medium-range, because he min 3bet from BTN, and I rated that he as a weak/passive scared player.

On flop I didn't know anything, just that I have a bottom pair and 5 outs, open door straight draw, to make a strong hand.

On turn, by his min bet (only 1bb), I spotted that he has absolutely nothing, or maybe 33-77, because If he had any 9, he will make a bigger bet.

On the river, was the best info he gave to me. He said "Running cold", and in this situation, I knew that he is telling me the truth, so I call and won.

I want any of your opinions about this hand, I will take seriously any advice from you about this hand.

I can't express into words how bad this is from both of you, but I was definitely entertained. Just a quick tip: if a weak tight min raises pre, it means premium hand, as you can see by the hand he showed.

This was a fun watch haha. The only thing I can say is the hand is full of major mistakes at every decision point in the hand. Go find some good preflop charts, learn what hands to play pre, then come back.

EcoT, thanks a lot for your reply. As I mentioned above, preflop I was too loose or too bad from OOP to defend with 5s 2s, but the main focus story of this hand is on Turn and River.

1bb bet on turn, means he is not focused on game, or he is not interested on game, he has nothing, etc.

By the river, from my experience, when players say the have the nuts, most of the time they had, or the opposite.

Preflop I was bad, not bad but two bad. I have my preflop chart that I modified about 50 times in 18 last months. Only in some situation, when I'm not on game frequency I use mathemathical options on my play (pot odds and equity).

I didn not made right questions, or not, it was for Hero call?, don't look preflop.
