6-handed live cash game, $0.50 BB

Hero (UTG) - $45
CO - $80
SB - $40
BB - $8

I find 88 UTG and make it $1.75. I have a TAG image. CO is a super LAG who is the table captain. He calls as does the SB, who's a good LAG. BB is a bad LAG and he shoves.

Action back to me. Best play?

Is your UTG raise amount standard there? What reads to the table have of you - explain what has happened to lead you to a TAG Image. I raise more preflop - at least $3.
Once you get squeezed for 8$ by a bad lag, you can certainly make a nice isolation play. Would the LAGs behind your original raise just call with 99+ instead of 3bet?
THere's a lot of money out there - POOOOSH

Standard raise is between $1.50 and $2. $2.50 for example, gets raised eyebrows.

My image comes from me folding many hands but being aggressive when I'm in the pot. I make PFRs mostly from LP and c-bet the majority of the time. People always expect me to have big pairs - which of course I can't always have, so that lets me win pots when I don't connect with the flop.

Yeah put in a nice iso raise here and get heads up probably against a couple of overs but with the dead $3.50 in the pot thats perfect. I agree tho with dpbuck tho i like a slightly bigger raise pf with 88 even if it raises eyebrows

Thanks guy. It took me a long time before I found that play. I came to realize that the two LAGs behind me would have raised me if they had anything good, so if I reraised the bad LAG, they'd likely be forced to fold and I could get HU with the bad LAG.

I made it $20 to go (which I think looks stronger than a push - and lets me preserve my stack in case one of the LAGs decides to go crazy) and got my isolation. I even won the hand.

shoving yourself might actually be very interessting here. everyone except BB are very likely to fold considering the action this far, and as a "bad" lag you should be well ahead of BB's range here.
