I opened a 6 max table and this player with a russian woman's name sits directly to my right (fail). This is the first hand and OTB he/she opens to 5bb
which isn't exactly standard. I have a strong hand.

What is my plan for the hand?

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Party
Hero ($50)
($50)

Dealt to Hero T T

raises to $2.50, hero?

Converter fckd it up but I am in the BB and he has SB/BTN

You'll find a lot of random spazzy hands more than you'll find that you're running into JJ+

TT is a big hand heads up. But it doesn't necessarily flop well as a general rule. 3 bet it.

BTN/SB: $50.00
Hero (BB): $50.00

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BB with T T
BTN/SB raises to $2.50, Hero raises to $7.50, BTN/SB raises to $50

He shoved after 2s of thinking. Obvious call?

Def. not obvious. It has been my observation that players who buy in for the max. are usually decent or at least tight. Considering that i would fold. If he is an idiot then you will probably get your $7,5 back with interest later on.

Thanks. FWIW he showed up with KK and left after 1 more hand.
I just started doubting myself that was I getting it in too light against a total unknown.

You can close the thread now, no more selfdoubt
