It's hard to say without any reads. How often does he limp-call? How often does he fold to a cbet?

Against a caller middle cards (J-8) are generally bad. With more than one opponent you should cbet less as a bluff. I don't totally hate the way you played it, but you could have probably given up on the flop.

If you change the KJ9 fd to to KJ2 rb it would be fine but KJ9 fd is best to check.

Grunch: Why are you c-betting here - limp calling oop is a fishy play and fish love to call right? You never fold out better and you only get called by Ax very occasionally.
