Can anyone give me a support with this becouse I am really down I played 35k hands of nl5 and had winning rate of 6BB/100. Decided to move to nl10 and lost 60 dollars or even more in 1500 hands(-20BB/100). Just soooo sick. I was trying to play same as at nl5 but just failed overall.
WTF to do now have 20 buy ins for nl5 so I should probably go back grinding nl5 but i just feel soo lame, like i should continue nl10. Any help appriciated.

You can vent a bit in BBV if you want, I don't think this is worth a thread, nothing personal.

Don't continue 10NL. 6BI downswing is totally normal even if you were playing perfectly and you never are when you move up.

OK. Probably it isnt but i just feel so doown. It is just such a bad feeling. Dont think it was fully variance.
It was like combo of fancy/bad play + bad beats + TILT...

This is insane. Moved back to nl5 and i dont know what to say
after 20 minutes. I feel like i can drive over each player and I can easily fold when need to. Seems so easy.
Is this just in my head or is it really nl5 so easier than nl10.

1500 hands is nothing. And a 6 buy in downswing is also nothing.

IMO nl5 is quite a lot easier than nl10.

well i never played nl5 so i can't compare the differences in skills in those levels but since you have 1500 hands at nl10 you could find at least 10 hands you want to post and get advice. this should really be helpful to your game even if you choose to move down to nl5.
as an exemple, start with hands where you did get your whole stacks in bad shape, hands where you feel you fail to get max value from your opponent's second best hands, spot where you didn't know what to do, etc etc. even if you played the majority of your hand perfectly a downswing can still damage your game and confidance so it's better to post some hands and leave some doubt.

gl, don't give up

I'm going to be very honest: The right thing to do is go back to 5NL. If your ego won't let you do that, you will not have long-term success in poker.

How many hands do you have at 5NL? You might not be a winning player there.

OP, let me tell you about my experiences. I was playing $50NL for quite a while, and doing pretty well. Well on my 1st attempt at moving up to $100NL I got owned for about 16 buy ins ($1.6k) and was forced to move back down. Does it suck? hell ya, but its the smart thing to do. I'm currently in the process of moving back up to $100NL gradually now that I have rebuilt my bankroll, and my confidence a bit. Take your time, don't get discouraged, and continue to work hard on your game. Good luck

(PS I know the stakes are very different, but the concept is the same, we've all had our rough patches and hard work pulls through)
