im betting ~$1.70 on the turn here. any club kills any action and his range here is still big.
checking turn and betting the river less than half pot may seem weak and you could of induced a bluff here. Im checking back the river given the state of the board and hand strength. as played probably folding to the raise.

The turn, it needs to be bet. Look at it this way, when the flush completes there are now more hands that will call a bet that might have folded. And you shouldn't be afraid that he'll c/r you because he'll generally have a stronger hand than yours.

Ax makes up a larger portion of his range than flushes

b/c turn closer to pot. as played call, chances are good enough. kick your dog if he had KJ.

but then such a donkish player will very often bet river and i have to fold. so what is the point in calling turn, giving him additional value

Ok let me be clearer, betting the turn is +EV because his range is going to have many more worse TP in it than flushes, so you will on average make money on the turn. Don't check it back and hope he bluffs the river, turning a hand as strong as TP2K into a bluff-catcher is a bad play. You can get 3 streets of value out of this guy (his whole stack) by taking a bet+bet+bet line. As played I really doubt the river check/shove is a bluff

ok, but bet river is also a must here? obviosly fold to check/shove but donks often check river to catch bet and then shove so is betting tptk on the rvier ev+ with such players?

After the turn checks through I don't think he can expect you to bet, so I think he very rarely is planning a check/raise. The only other reason to check/raise is because he spazzed. You crush spazzing range, so I think call.
