He is 25% PFR from UTG and always call open even on 3-bets and 4-bets so I 3 bet to get more money preflop and if I look good post flop then I start betting. For the 4-bet calling just did not want to go all in pre-flop with my hand. At this point I was putting him on a huge range because of his high calling. Post flop I though that I have 9 certain out from the spades and at least 3 more from the aces because I did not think he has a small pair.

Is there anything ells you want to know? NEOK.. Just Aske me

If You don't like to 3bet/fold and don't like to 3bet/5bet-shove then DON'T 3BET IN THE FIRST PLACE. Calling 4bets OOP is eeewww

I agree that calling 4 bets OOP is pretty bad but I can kinda understand it since all UTG does is click it back. It's pretty spewy versus most but if he opens 25% from UTG 5-betting is fine. Check shoving this flop looks terrific. You're only in bad shape versus sets and less than great shape versus QQ+...which can for sure be part of his range but not 100% of the time. Not to mention you have a BD straight draw in addition to your FD and 2 overs. If he checks back, great, you see a free card, if he bets and you shove you're getting some folds and doing fine versus a decent portion of his calling range.

CCM Lets not forget that this is NL4. I have to agree with you that with these stats on the higher stakes it is probably the best idea to shuv already preflop once there is a 4 bet. How would you play this c/s that you are suggesting? Could you develop me a simple scenario, because I am interested.

Thank you everyone for posting an replying.

Actually the c/s only works if villain is 4 betting AK preflop. The reason is that we fold out AK when we shove the flop picking up the dead money; We also have lots of outs in case of a call. However at uNL a 4B is usually QQ+ in which case we will be called on the flop with poor equity against that range. Rethinking the hand I think it's a fold preflop...because villain almost always has QQ+ at uNL.

Just read your stats/read on him. If his range is that wide, then the c/s is a no brainer. An aggro monkey could be 4 betting KQ here because he thinks you are pushing him around. All very read dependent ...

Ok I intentionally ignored preflop because you dont give any info about villains. It's sometimes a flat because you are facing a strong UTG open and sometimes a 3 bet for value. I dont ever play this low but getting it in pre vs an UTG open with AQ is almost never a good idea, no matter of the action. Now that he makes such a tiny 4 bet I don't mind a flat because of pot odds but we will only continue on pretty favourable flops such as this one.

Now on the flop even if his range is QQ-AA (unlikely) then we are still making a +EV play if all the money goes in on the flop. What we wish to avoid is one bet going in on the flop and the second larger allin bet to go in on the turn where our equity is significantly worse. C/s allows villain to check back (free card=good), bluff and fold to our all in or b/c for value when our equity is unlikely to be below 45%.
