We open in MP and open AQo for $0.40 and get 3bet by a 100bb stack to $1.20 w 22/9/2.2 over 30 hands...He is in the CO

Now obviously we are going to miss the flop 1/3 and yes he will cbet a ton, as he is mostly playing premiums sitting at a deep table w 100bbs and now 250, he could be a competent short-stacker or a recreational player

To me calling OOP and c/f seems -ev and quite spewey... what I am looking for is the optimal line w this hand....???

AK I 4bet call, as I do w JJs+ AJo I raise fold pre and all pairs below I set mine which I agree is mostly the optimal way to play the above vs 100bb stacks who 3bet us IP w the above stats...

Suggestions and whether you agree about what I should do differently w the above range of hands I continue the hand with...

I always look to play perfect and realise there are rough parts in my game vs short stackers so any help is appreciated

3-betters position on the table is important. Will we play the hand in or out of position post-flop?

If this is a hand from where I think it is then I think you're missing a fair bit of info.

But ignoring that and going on raw stats provided I just fold pre a lot.

I did mention we are OOP in the 2nd paragraph...though not entirely clear...sorry, and no I played it earlier before our home game

Folding really isn't that bad here until we develop some reads.
