Could someone offer some advice what the best strategy for me to play here would be? Is this a fold OTF?

PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

CO: $70.77
Hero (BTN): $13.64
SB: $33.63
BB: $25.00
UTG: $32.02

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has J A

UTG raises to $0.75, fold, Hero calls $0.75, fold, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.35, 3 players) 5 9 7
BB checks, UTG bets $2.25, Hero calls $2.25, BB raises to $6.25, UTG raises to $27.75, Hero calls $10.64 and is all-in, BB calls $18.00 and is all-in

Turn: ($63.74, 3 players) 6

River: ($63.74, 3 players) 4

BB shows 6 8 (Straight, Nine High) (Pre 17%, Flop 76%, Turn 83%)
UTG shows J J (One Pair, Jacks) (Pre 54%, Flop 2%, Turn 2%)
Hero shows J A (High Card, Ace) (Pre 29%, Flop 22%, Turn 14%)
BB wins $61.74

Rebuy to 100bb.

Don't post results.

Post any stats/reads on opponents if you have PT3.

3bet preflop if you are playing this hand and get it on that flop.

By the time it gets to you I think you have to call. 86dd is like the worst hand EVER for you to see now. Kills 2 of your diamond outs and obv. has some diamonds in his hand. IF 86 was 99 instead this is a call with the money in the pot and our equity I think. One of the super genius math guys will crunch the numbers for you but I think its a call at this point.

BUY IN FULL THOUGH! WTF is with people all of a sudden be short stackers lately??? Your going to be pissed if you cooler someone AA vs KK and don't have a full 100bb's in front of you.

The worst part about this hand is not buying in full.

Thankyou for the comments my micro stakes brothers. It puts my mind at ease to know getting it in was a good choice.

3bet AJ? Is this standard play on these forums?

And about my stack size, I'm usually short stacked at the beginning of a session because I'm throwing my money round early to create my loose image.

When you have the decision to call you can assume the other kid is going to get in the money too. So pot odds is 10.64/63.74 = ~16.7% equity needed (www.pokerstove.com)

And you pretty easily have 17% equity even vs a set I think so it's a call.

Sorry bud, but you should move down to a cheaper stake (unless you can afford it) since you have troubles with this decision and you didn't buy in for 100bb. Look up some concepts like "Pot odds".
