Like 15 hands into the session. Villain seemed to play LAGgy, though not enough hands to have anything near any good reads on him.

I don't 3bet 88 often pre, but whatever. I don't care for anyone making comments on this.

The 2nd barrell is very questionable. I have no idea if he's folding TPTK to the 2nd bet but my guess is no. I figured I would rather take my fold equity and my 10 outs and push them than check and possibly get shut out. Comments appreciated on this front.

We're getting 3 to 1 on the turn call, which is why this is so annoying. We have 7-10 outs meaning with our odds he needs to be holding worse 5-10% of the time to make the call conceivable. This is bugging me. I can see a lot of bad players not thinking and shoving a backdoor double draw or other random things, but it's still an annoying spot.

Full Tilt Poker $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players -

BTN: $51.35
SB: $52.85
Hero (BB): $57.50
UTG: $31.25
CO: $75.00

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BB with 8 8
2 folds, BTN raises to $1.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $4.50, BTN calls $3.25

Flop: ($9.25) T 4 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $5.50, BTN calls $5.50

Turn: ($20.25) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $15, BTN raises to $41.35 all in,

The exact odds on the call are like 26$ to 75$.

Flat pre no reason to 3b even if he has a laggy image because look at the sample size. Easy fold OTT.

Like I said, I might 3bet 88 25% of the time from the BB, this just happened to be one of the time. The discussion shouldn't be around the preflop move; no one cares.

As for the turn, well it's NL50, after all. I don't know what's the donk/tag ratio, but it's pretty good as far as I'm concerned. It is full of spewy donks. That's partly why I don't really like the 2nd barrell, because I don't fold out as much as I would want to.

pre is whatever i guess, 3b/5b shove against an aggro guy you play a lot with can't be that bad with a pair but i wouldn't go this thin at the star of a session, especially without reads on how he plays post in 3b pot when we'll be oop

turn play (incl. whether to bet in the first place or not) depends on a lot of things you aren't mentioning, how often he floats, his willingness to double barrel a float on the turn and river, how fast he plays draws and big hands (or like Tx) in 3b pot etc. something like T8/98/78 I would definitely c/c on the turn.

readless i guess b/f isn't bad as long as you jam river too, hard to see this ever being a b/c unless hes especially aggro

everyone gets in these spots where youve pot a tony of money in the pot and it sucks to fold a lot of equity but i just cant see b/c being optimal

Easy fold OTT as played. You simply don't have any reason to stack off without some good information on your opponent. I don't like your bet sizing on the flop either, I'd bet around $7.

*EDIT ~ 15 hands history is like reading the prologue of a 900 page novel.

FC pf.

Check/call turn. If you bet, you have to go b/f. That 9 is a blank there, so if he called flop, he will also call with that imo.

Yeah, I think c/c or even c/f (depending on his bet sizing) turn is best. If I was planning on bet/folding turn, I should have bet a smaller amount so I don't have odds to think about calling a shove reasonably.
