3bet pre.

Don't checkraise flop, you've got so few bluffs here compared to value. And it's pretty difficult for villain to have anything he wants to call with as your blocker effect is huge.

As played bet turn.

I'm thinking of raising flop to make it more expensive for him to draw to a possible fd (he will call anyway) and also all other xj hands that fishtard will shove/call with

but yea, many times we will get folds if he has nothing, but he will shut down on turn anyway if he has nothing. he is not double barreling very often without a j ott

Bet turn 30c. Raise flop to 26-28c.

If he's got a jack we're getting his stack on plenty of runouts already. If he's got nothing (which is the overwhelming majority of the time here) we want to let him try and hit a pair OTT or bluff a 'scare card' like a king or ace. Flush draws don't make up a large part of someone's range so I wouldn't raise specifically to protect against them.

Think it's more +EV against his range as a whole to check, although tbh it's unlikely we win a massive pot here unless it's a cooler.

Yes it is unlikely to win much unless he has Jx. But we can miss value from the Jx hands when club arrives, in some way it is scare card for both of us. And ofc we miss value from FDs.
I would prefer to raise flop like hero did. But bet turn, it might be bet/fold still better than check.
