Hey there,

My name is Mike J.

I currently have loaded $15 onto my pokerstars account and have a goal of turning it into $1000 by the end of 2019.

I plan to start playing 2 tables at a time and see how that goes.

Does anyone have any solid advice to seriously help me?

I wouldn't mind exchanging contact information and possible working on this challenge together.

I am about to play my first session of 250 hands.

Mike J

Yikes...

After 250 hands of play my bankroll is down to $13.28

Not very reassuring as to my skill level.

Made 2 very bad bluffs in early position losing entire stack.

Want to move the $5NL if/when I get to $100 bankroll.

My goal is to play 250 hands every morning and 250 hands every night roughly for 4 weeks and see where I am at after the first month staying at $2NL.

roughly 15k hands.

First, good luck!

Second, I'd start by playing one table and really focus on the game and your opponents. + I'd actually recommend to keep playing 2NL until you feel like you're crushing it. Focus on the game, not the bankroll. It's okay to have tight bankroll management if you really want to make it on the long term. You not only need the bankroll to move up in stakes, but also the skill level. Building a BR in a certain stake from 7.5BI to 50BI doesn't necessarily mean you have the skill to move up.

Also, make sure you review your hands; which spots made you feel uncertain about your skill level? Analyse the spot and be confident next time you encounter it.
I keep a small notebook where I keep 2 lists: 'Spots where I feel comfortable' and 'Spots where I feel uncomfortable'. When studying, I focus on one of the uncomfortable spots until I can write it down in the other list.

But most of all, enjoy playing and studying the game! Good luck!

Currently 750 hands played and my BR is $15.68

I think my format will by 250 hands a day 2 tables at a time.

Prior to each session I will review the best/worst currency earning from the previous 250 hand session.

If I am unable to resolve an issue on my own I will post hands on the forums and seek advice.

My secondary goal is to simply play 100,000 hands at $2NL and see where I am at after that many hands.

BANKROLL: $18.89

I AM CONSIDERING STARTING A YOUTUBE CHANNEL FOR MY CHALLENGE. POSSIBLY STREAMING LIVE OR RECORDING MY GAMEPLAY IN A PODCAST FORMAT.

STUDENT OF THE GAME.

I'm going through a similar sort of thing myself. Working up from NL2.

Probably the only bit of sound advice I'm in a position to give is install a hud. Poker copilot, HEM (both have 1 month free trial) are good. Also learn to use and read it. Profiling is a fundamental part of poker from what I understand.

Good luck

you need a hud. try reading the griders gude to 6 max cash games, its an excellent book and will teach you how to use it. This plus the HUD will run you $170 tho so maybe make your goal $1170
