What range are we giving him for doing this? Given we have the Ace of Diamonds its going to pretty much rule out most of his flush draws so we have to rely on him to be raising with hands like JJ/QQ etc imo. I seem to be banging on about this quite a bit lately saying that people play pretty face up in 3bet pots. I havnt got Pokerstove on this computer but just out of interest if we gave him a range of say QQ/ Sets(I dont ever expect to see a bluff here) can we profitably call this?

Looks fine. I'd probably preflop some percentage of the time given his high fold to 3-bet.

MartLs right about the Ad. But if he has lower pairs in his range, then he also probably has enough 76,65,89 type hands and I see shoves like this from AK type hands as well.

I put him on KK most likely or QQ/JJ and possibly 77 at the lowest of his call 3 bet range but when he turned over 33 I was genuinely shocked given his stats.

Having said that, why would he shove with anything less than a set on that board, as you say the nut flush draw is out of the equation (didn't even think about this at the time)

I think you are right in saying at these levels 3 bet pots are played pretty straightfowardly

if he has a overpair he flatted because hes the type to want to see a non A-k flop n get it in with significant equity vs you or whatever they think

so ide say his range is sets, kq/qj/j-10 flush draws & 10's-AA as well as 9-8s combo draw

    snap call

Villain is 14/11, folding to cbet 80%, this is 90% of the time going to be a set at 25nl against this type. Make a note on villian and 3 bet bigger pre oop to not price in the set hunter.

Personally I'm quite surprised with this hand, I think I would play it the same as based on the information we have to hand, namely his stats, we should be ahead most of the time versus a villain with these stats.
