Question to the masses: With villain calling the 4 bet pre-flop, we can probably narrow his range to QQ+,AK, right? Instead of idiot betting the flop, should I bet @6.50 & fold to shove? Thanks in advance...

SPR is less than 1 on the flop, you just aren't ever getting away here. If you bet 6.50 and he raises all in, can you fold while getting almost 4:1 on your call? Obviously you can if QQ is the only thing ever that he has here, but what if it's KK just blindly stacking off? Sorry he had QQ.

You can always check raise him on the flop. Or get it in on the turn if he checks behind. Or do what you did and get it in. There's really no wrong way to go as long as the money is in by the turn with the SPR as VeeSe pointed out.

i think everything here is utterly standard except for not buying in for full, not giving reads and not just jamming the flop.

there are more combos of KK than QQ with the Q on the board.

NO. But you should bet $6.50 on flop and insta fist pump snap call to shove.

i'm never folding this. ever. if he shows up with QQ, meh so be it. even on the flop you have about 66% equity against a range of QQ+, and moreover even if he flats KK only 50% of the time you're still flipping. so that combined with the times you shove and he either calls you with AK for some reason or folds AK will make shoving very very +EV. folding in this spot is just gross.

Bet smaller on the flop, gives him a chance to either call off slowly and get pot stuck or to think he has FE. This is especially good here since flop is uber dry. When you are pot committed you need to be thinking "how can i get him to put in the most money on average with his entire range". You aren't really giving like JJ or TT a chance to make a mistake if you think about it.
