I have seen him raising flop/calling 3BAI for 50BB with Qd5d on 7s5s3d vs preflop raiser

    Nope. 4bet bigger though. $18+ is fine. Don't expect to be impressed with your equity unless he calls with black AK or something.

    Agreed that 4b should be more in the area of >2.5x his 3b

    Really nothing else you can do but bet flop

    4bet bigger pre because it's 3 handed by now or because villain is a loose caller (or maybe both)?

    I think like 18.50/19 is a good number to 4bet to preflop, that sets you up with about a pot sized shove on the flop.
