how can variance be insane when the biggest deviation from the mean is 10bb

like 100bb deep? Then the variance would be crazy! Like as high as in 'regular' games!

More like 50-70bb deep, but with a bunch of guys who are not adjusting and still playing 40bb as if they were 10bb (e.g. open shoving A7o from UTG) the variance is pretty high, though I wouldn't exactly call it crazy or insane.

but the flipside is, you are playing on a site that takes a 'whatever' attitude towards collusion and you could be playing against DOOSHCOM and his buddies...

your other choice, of course, is to actually learn to crush 100bb poker against real players on sites that actively pursue bots and colluders...

In which case I take back everything I said and want to get a sign up link to the site as quickly as possible please. A game of online poker in 2012 at $4+ big blind where more than one weak spot is seated would be awesome.

Yeah, I play those games sometimes at 1/2 and 2/4 when I get no hu action, and games are really soft. But I only played like 2k hands so far, so I reserve the right to be wrong about that.

Some hands to give you the idea of how the games are. Played most hands on my other computer so don't have the hh available. There is a lot of spazz/gambling going on, even at 2/4.

edit: I read through the first cpl of posts itt and saw that there are some concerns that op is just trying to attract new players. I just wanna state that I'm in no way affiliated w/ 888 and I don't want to promote anything. I started playing these games at the end of sessions just for fun (just like rush omaha back in the days), and after playing a bit on autopliot I realized that there is actually money to be made, which I did not assume in the first place.

One of the most important things in these games is table selection. If you can get 4 fish on a table for an hour u can be looking at a ridiculous winrate.

2 main reasons, stacks get deep v quickly and people continue to shove way too light/play terrible with deep(er) stacks

the mixture of the above 2 points generally = high variance games (in bb's maybe not $)

whoever said these games aren't beatable haven't played them

edit: reading the responses i was already beaten to it

^ in other words, you're either an 888 shill or someone who's promoting push/fold for your own profit.

Do u have some sort of hidden agenda that you need to address?LMAO @663366...

I play poker to make money.I dont cheat or engage in any form of collusion.Obviously you are not going to change your views on this matter so if you could please refrain from posting anymore on this thread i would be grateful.

      Someone must be running bad....

lol @ hidden agenda and running bad.. you made a public thread, so if you can't take people's opinions maybe you shouldn't have made the thread in the first place. Just be grateful that some are replying because the rest of MSNL would obviously consider push/fold to be a BS game.

LOOOOOL i didnt know people are still playing 100bb cash games - during the 90billion hand promo i opened up a 2/4 NL full ring table just to see 9/10 people sitting with 40bb autopiloting after some charts.

Oh, and there is probably one site out there who stringently pursues bots and colluders, the rest just gives a damn. And you gotta love the attitude by so many in here sitting on a high horse, yet being regs at 888.

There is not a single comment here that makes sense! seems only JIMMERZZZ has playd these tables and has a clue what hes talking about. Push or Fold tables are the best game on the site full of fish and donks with super bad ranges, there is so much action on them 1-2 players all in basically non stop the best part about them is that if you are able to be a break even player you make plenty in rewards and rake you can even be a minus player and turn a profit in them and once you get the hang of it and play 4 tables 1/2 2/4 at a time rake is just flying in on these tables you can do 2000-3000 stat pts in a DAY ! you can do your full welcome bonus and reach platinium status over a weekend if you grind 6-8h daily 2-4 tables stakes 0.5/1 - 2/4 you will be VIP in 4-6 months if you play 4 tables 1/2 - 5/10 you can be a VIP in 3-4 months! get sick rewards rake and bonuses so go play your 100bb games if you like but dont speak about a game that you dont understand as for me they are hands down the best pure form of poker, nobody will outplay you post flop or bluf you its basicly all in 90% of time and ppl say its BINGO for donks well if you have a good shoving range and high agresion there is no better place than pushfold tables at times ppl will jump in to check out what it is and if they are drunk tilted or clueless they can lose 30 buy ins at any stake in 30 min - 1h best way to clear bonuses and reach next statuses are PUSHFOLD TABLES period.

How many buy-ins should a super solid bankroll management strategy include in this kind of game ?
