Here is a hand I played a while ago, so there are a few mistakes in it, including calling a big river bet.
Nevertheless this hand is unusual because opponent made a very unusual opening. I think 7h6h is not a hand people open from EP on Micro stakes FR - where I think is the biggest part of my confusion at the time.
Obviously, this is a Deep stacks game, so I wonder if villain opens such hands for this reason, trying to either win pots with C-bets on flop or otherwise make big pots with drawing hands like this.
Also, villain luckily hits their straight on the turn, so it's easy for them to play from there on.
Villain plays 24 / 11 / 1.0 over 291 hands, with 67% C-bet, 20% F3B and 0% 4B
- How many mistakes can you figure out in this hand?
- How would you have played?
- What reasons would have made me get away from this hand - even if I didn't put villain on 7h6h?
- What do you think of villain's play?
