Here's 2 hands from my session today.

Usually I almost pot both of these hands on the flop, but I've been trying to learn to keep the pot a size that fits my hand, top pair top kicker and I ran into problems with both hands.

Both hands are against the same villain, running 56/5/0.57, with flop =.09, flop =2, turn=4, river =9, but I only have 75 hands.

The first hand I only had a couple hands on them so I had no reads, second hand was later in the session so I had a read.

I think the 2nd hand, I should have bet about $4 on the flop, and checked the turn? and called or bet the river.

I would just like suggestions overall on whether I am playing these right, if I should be doing something differently.

Here's another AK hand from this session, is this standard? Not much of a read, he was very active but didn't see anything outrageous.

Sorry to post multiple hands but I find AK tough to play.

Your flop cbets should be bigger. Bet like $5 or so in hand one and $3.75ish in hand two.

In hand one, I think the tiny bet on turn screams blocking bet. I think I just push over the top there on the turn.

Hand two is played fine, IMO.

Hand three, RERAISE PREFLOP, jesus christ. Flop, raise more. Turn, BET MORE and call his push after. You have a good chance of having the best hand and 9 nutflush outs when you dont.

Hand 1 is fine

Hand 2 you are value betting very, very thin imo. I may check behind on the river considering the texture of the board

Hand 3 yes definitely 3 bet, and make a big raise if you get donked into on the flop, makes this hand a lot easier to play. as played fold obv

I disagree with practically everything you just said.

hm. misread hand 2 sorry.
definitely bet more on the turn, but top 2 on the river isnt that great considering the board.

When he checks the river in hand 2, top two is a MONSTER at these stakes. Once he check-minraises, obviously we aren't looking as good. But folding is obviously wrong, so calling is good. Hand 2 is the only hand he played pretty well, imo.

alright so most of my problem stem from my bet sizing. Like stated usually I bet more but I've been reading stuff on controlling the pot size. At what point should I be looking to control the pot size?
