Name some actual hands that he can call with. If you have no samples assign him a realistic range and assume he is abc poker.

A better value line is c/c river.

Dont x/c, dont bet this small, you do it so often with marginal hands and you will be exploited way to much unless you do this with your nuts hands too.

I think it might be ok as long as he is doing it because his opponent is a fish, but I guess if he is bad enough to call $3 with 10x etc he should be bad enough to call $5?

If we are play vs THINKING regs yes, but we are playing with a fish they don't exploit us they exploit themselves.

A word on balance. You don't need it until someone is exploiting you.

Doing it with nutted hands would be even worse by a distance.

Bigger pre flop. Flop and turn is good.

Flop and turn sizing is good. River sizing is lolbad. Bet half pot or something.

Pre and river are too small. Should be 1/2 pot at least.

His range for calling the flop and turn are probably similar.
