but someone told me I could check call on the flop , check call or raise on the turn , check on the river can call.

WP, we want to extract max value when we have a set. Don't be results oriented

Definily bigger OTT like $2.35 Remember that poker is a business and we have to maximize the profits of our business > We r here to stack villains when we hit a set. So we need to adjust stack sizes to make a river shove without being too conspicuous. We do that by betting large for value on previous streets.
