Cbet 50%

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #37446855

    Hero (BTN): $5 (100 bb)
    SB: $4.46 (89.2 bb)
    BB: $5 (100 bb)
    UTG: $5.31 (106.2 bb)
    MP: $5.07 (101.4 bb)
    CO: $4.31 (86.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q J
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.15, CO folds, Hero calls $0.15, 2 folds

    Flop: ($0.37) 8 T 2 (2 players)
    MP bets $0.25

Raise or call flop? I think raise is better because it stops villain from hitting A or K. If they flat our flop raise we can also bet the K or A because they will have less combos of those.

If we call we let them see cards for free.

You should sometimes raise some times call...I lean toward call because you are IP so if he checks to you OTT you can bluff him OTT or river and if you raise and he calls that second barrel is kind of a big

Call. Play turns and river in position . Raising here looks like we are fos as we have no value that we would raise here as mosiach says.

We can have all sets. I guess the board is dry enough that we don't need a raising range here.

On that note, what pocket pairs do people flat in these positions? I personally wouldn't have 22; I want a bit more showdown value. 88+

I think it's dependent on stacks and what villians are still left to act
Also villian who's opening tendencies, like if he's capable of firing multiple barrels we won't realise our equity enough. Or if we think is he good enough to get away from overpairs if we blink a set

I think its fine to call all pp in most cases maybe not if you have agg3bettor on blinds

-The small portion of his range which folds vs a raise otf, will do it often ott as well after we float.

-You do not rep much raising otf.

-If V calls, is really hard to fold that range on future streets.

I feel like this matters a lot particularly in ZOOM, where I feel that getting paid for a raise and three streets of betting by a villain with top pair when you have a set isn't standard (but does happen).

So as a standard in ZOOM I avoid flatting small PP vs one raiser
