Vs unknown.
Decide to check turn since the board is so dry, and we're only splitting w. A2-A8.

Was planning to x/x turn & bet 50%ish river to get value from 9x.

When he bets turn and continues river I'm starting to believe we're beat.
So do we call here?
How would you play the hand?

Probably folding pre unless he folds often to steal which we don't know. On the flop its a check call or check fold for me, probably check fold vs unknown. As played I check call turn and river.
An important thing here I think is that we are out of position to a half stack, I would want strong broadway cards that connect with the flop, top pair at least, maybe 2nd pair vs some villains in these positions, before barreling off.
