Hi, I'm pretty new to these forums and wanted your opinions on this hand
No HUD, villain was sorta fishy, but I wasn't really sure at this point. About 20 hands later, though, he chased a flop with bottom pair multiway and backed into a straight. Is the turn check bad here? I can see him continuing w/ AJ or KJ, maybe even QJ, and KQ, but I felt like I was losing to sets and flushes that donked this drawy flop.

Yeah, I contemplated calling as well, but I felt like I could squeeze some more value out of him.

If the turn is scary then why try to squeeze more "value"?

Ok, so if I dont bet turn, should I just call this river? And any opinions about this turn? I think we're too deep to get this in with this turn, so I checked for pot control. If effective stacks were smaller, I should probably jam this turn and get it in on the river, right?

Still bet turn here for value villains range is still much wider than FD's. If we get raised on the turn or donked into on the river it sucks and we fold but were missing value v/often by not betting the turn. River is spew you should never raise here imo.

And are we ever afraid of turned fulls here? I was, when I was playing, but I forgot to exclude sets/2pair from his range, as those would probably get it in on this flop. So the only things we're afraid of here are made FDs, right? Do some random trips with a draw ever get to this turn or raise here?

You say villain is fishy. His range is so much wider then flushes and sets, your hand has lost some value when the fush hits both because it will scare villain just as much as you when it hits unless he has a flush of course. But fish villains call with all kinds of junk your missing value not betting the turn. Like I say we have to fold to a raise which sucks, but you will lose value more often by not betting

Okay, thanks. One more question: as played, what's his range on the river when he bets? I raised because his bet was under 1/2 pot, and I felt like I could've gotten value from AQ, AJ, AT, or A9.
