Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 7 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

SB: $0.83
BB: $1.78
UTG: $7.37
Hero (UTG+1): $10.98
MP: $2.38
CO: $9.93
BTN: $12.39

Pre-Flop: 9 9 dealt to Hero (UTG+1)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.25, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.25, SB calls $0.23, BB folds

Flop: ($0.80) 4 3 5 (3 Players)
SB bets $0.05, Hero raises to $0.40, BTN calls $0.40, SB calls $0.35

Turn: ($2) T (3 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.80, BTN calls $0.80, SB calls $0.18 and is All-In

River: ($3.78) 7 (3 Players - 1 is All-In)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.30, Hero ???

I think this is one of my weaknesses. Can't exactly lay down 99's in UTG+1 (or maybe you can?). But in the latter streets my position in the hand gets very blurry, specially when others (or 2 others!!) are flat calling.

Thoughts? Call/Fold/Shove?

I like preflop. You might get some differing opinions on lower pairs, but 99 is a fine hand to be raising with from all positions. I like your sizing too. Any reads or stats on your villains?

On the flop, I have a few problems with your play. That weak minbet donk can mean different things depending on the villain, but I'm almost always interpreting it as a check and raising it up the first time it happens (and making a note of how villain responds). So raise is an okay play here heads up, but multiway it's questionable. If you do raise, your sizing is way off, especially given SB's stack size. You leave SB with .18 behind and gives odds to draw. I would make it .75.

The decision to raise also depends on the table; doing it multiway can be bad if your villains aren't willing to give up right now. If the villains are calling stations or extremely loose (i.e. this flop smashed a good part of their range), then I'm just giving up here.

There aren't really any cards you want to see on the turn, because overs can be dangerous and unders complete a draw. I'm probably giving up if my raise gets called multiway on the flop. If an over comes, I may bet again heads up, but my thinking could be off on this. If you do bet it has to be more relative to the size of the pot.

Fold on the river. The straight draw came in and you don't beat anything except a bluff.
