Villain is 29/15/1.1 over 192 hands.

Steal - 41%
Fold to 3bet - 0
Fold to cbet - 38
WTSD - 46

A few hands ago i also had aces, this guy had chased a weak draw at the wrong odds all the way to the river.

Is it ok to just shove river here? Can i ever c/f? Should i be c/c to induce a bluff?

I'm a newbie poker player so take my advice with a huge chunk of salt but then again I aggre with them. Bet turn bigger, 2+ so you can make an easy river shove (?)

Dnu if I would be able to lay the hand down when we've gotten this far. Maybe check turn for pot controll but then we'd be giving him a free card to outdraw on us and we'll also lose value from hands we beat that would call.

It's a really tricky spot, being OOP makes it so much worse

Unless this guy never bluffs or unless you have some other reads, you can't c/f, especially when the most likely draw (JT) didn't get there. With a half-pot bet left your options are to either shove or check and hope to induce, basically from JT exactly (he's never value-betting a worse hand on the river). With a river bet your hand will look exactly like what it is. If you think he calls with a naked Q (and he'll be getting 3-1 on a call) then stuff. Otherwise, c/c. Given that he called to the river on a naked draw he sounds like someone who could overvalue hands, so I'd just shove it in here.

I would probably go less on the flop but as played turn sizing is perfect for the river.

Uhm sorry for being a pain in the ass but could you please explain why it's perfect sizing for the river? I'm a newbie so I'm clueless, sorry

Wouldn't we want to bet 70-90% of pot so we can easily ship on the river or would the pot still be big enough with heros raise for us to ship it? Do we not want to bet bigger on turn because of pot controll? I'm confused, please help.

And why less on flop?

Id go less on the flop because the board is quite dry for a 3bet pot and i usually go about half pot in 3bet pots which is still plenty to get it in by the river.

As for the turn his sizing leaves like a half pot sized bet which the villain is probably not folding anything he called the turn with.

I'd do the same. By the way he played, there is little chance he has a straight. More something like TT-QQ or AJ+. If he made his set... so be it.

Thanks alot for the reply I really apreciate it. I've got a couple of follow up questions if you don't mind me asking. Villain is 29/15 over 192 hands. What would we classify this type of player? Loose aggresive? loose passive? What range of hands do we put him on when we're at the river? My range picking is probably uber **** but then again I'm a new player so go easy on me. If I had to pick I'd say he has something like 88-QQ, AQ, 55, missed straight draws JT, KJ, KT, K9s (?) Dnu really, what do you guys think? Is my range way off or acceptable? Did I miss something?

He looks like hes probably loose passive and a pretty big fish.

Hes going to have some sets obviously but we expect him to raise those at some point. Its tough to have many draws on this board so he could defo have hands like AK if he calls pre flop with that and just cant fold it, he could have hands like JJ/TT that he also cant fold, whether he folds to a river bet is debatable but our sizing gets some calls from them i feel. Other than that he has Qx like KQ/QJ/QT and occasionally AQ.

Given he goes to SD far too much it leaves us with a pretty easy shove for value on the river.

Since u have some history I think you played well till the river

2 reasons to ship all in:

1 for value - if you think he has something like Aq or KQ or some other crap like that, and he will call.

2 for bluff - does not seem reasonable...he is a fkg calling station

So in my opinion u ship it all in because you have 1/3 of the pot left...

Thanks for the replies, really apreciate it. I have no real on topic question that I can think off atm but I do have some personal questions :P

1. Who is that smoking hot girl in your avatar?
2. What is the meaning of "Poo-bah" everyone and their grandmothers have under their name?
