2nd orbit, no reads on villain

Poker Stars $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

UTG: $6.52
MP: $2.00
CO: $10.27
Hero (BTN): $7.48
SB: $5.00
BB: $5.22

MP posts a big blind ($0.05)

Pre Flop: ($0.12) Hero is BTN with A A
UTG calls $0.05, MP checks, 1 fold, Hero raises to $0.30, 2 folds, UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.72) J 4 4 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.35, UTG calls $0.35

Turn: ($1.42) 7 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks

River: ($1.42) 3 (2 players)
UTG bets $1.20, Hero ???

So I'm sure this is a pretty typical spot for most people with an overpair on a drawy board. I stopped betting on the turn because I was thinking that if I bet, I'd be folding out all underpairs and possibly jacks. Of course I'd be keeping in all the flush draws, but I thought I'd check and check call the river.
Unfortunately, the villain bet pot, and it looks more like a value bet than a bluff. Do you guys agree with the check on the turn? Would you call on the river?

Bet bigger on the flop, something like $.50, you want to get value out of any draws or Jx hands. As played, by checking the turn, you are grossly underrepping your hand, so I expect any pair above 77 and Jx to valuebet vs your perceived weakness, which in turn makes the river an easy call.

bet more flop ,check turn, since we dont have any villian's stats, i'd call river

No I definitely agree the flop bet was a little low there. If I check I'm keeping in all Jx, pocket pairs, and flushes. If I bet I'll be keeping in flushes, Jx with higher kickers but I'll be folding out pocket pairs.

Bet more on the flop, like 55-60c, turn check is ok, can valuebet depending on villian, as played call the river.

Still, just thinking about it now, there is some merit to a bet on the turn. But check turn, call river is fine for me too.

Seems fine, Easyish call. If he has the flush there isnt much you can do.
