Hello all,
I've been playing 50nl zoom for the past 6months approximately. Im pretty much breaking even over that stretch (less than 1bb/100 hands over 240k hands). The rake in those low stakes zoom games is pretty ****ed up and now im just trying to figure out if its really beatable for 5bb/100 hands or more in 2018-19? Anyone has a graph with this kind of winrate at 50nl zoom in 2018 over a decent sample (200k+ hands)?
I know the variance can also be very intense in zoom and big breakeven strech are possible (or worst downswings), but now its getting To my head and need outside opinions!
Im extremely passionate about poker and really want To grind my way to higher stakes, so any kind of help/tips are welcomed !
About my grind:
- ive been grinding mostly mtts for the last 2 years while finishing my undergrad studies in business.
-work full time for the last 6months. Thats the main reason I transitioned from mtts to cash games.
-mostly grind at night (about 40-45k hands a month).
-pokerstars only
my results vary a lot....ive had a 70k hands strech were i was running at 3evbb /100hands (while being more like at 6bb/100!l) and then over 10k hands just droping buyins after buyins a getting back to breakeven/losing.
-what ive most improve is my mental game in the past 1-2months...im absolutely tilt free haha cold blooded. I dont care that much about the results and just really want to improve (unless im told these low stakes zoom games are barely beatable...)
Thanks for the answers !!!

I'm going to say it's possible but based on the info you provided, it it's unlikely that you'll achieve it. You gotta put time into your game off the table and it doesn't sound like you do or are planning on it.

Definitely possible. You need to study off the tables though and really get good at using a HUD. I am a HUD fish and got rocked on ACR because a lot of the players are really good at exploiting with stats (which is a skill I never developed).
A lot of players that are part of the CFP I am in play on stars and do well. So it's definitely possible. For now - im sticking with anonymous/hudless tables.

Be careful about basing your decisions on hud too much, it doesn't really help to understand poker from a theory pov. Personally it tends to cloud my judgment.

I just use HEM2 to quickly mark hands for analysis as I'm playing and off the tables, for looking at major imbalances in the regs I play with day in and out , but only after having gathered a big sample size

Ojune i dont really base my decision on Hud 1st, but when you play zoom its a tool you just cant ignore since you play different players every hand...and of course it depends of the sample you have on your opposent
Ionutd same here!
