villain is a reg running 17/13 /w an aggression factor of 4 and 3bet % of 4.

i have a solid TAG image. a bit more aggressive than most though.

I fold, i don't see any hand villain does this with that you beat.

I'd think (didn't look at spoiler) that a set that got a bit potcontrollisch ott is most likely. I doubt he would even do this with a flush (except straight flush obv.).

No idea what you mean.

Haven't looked at spoiler but 55/77 play this way, hoping to boat up on the river because the (bad) reg villain is scared of a flush.

He can also take this line with a NFD, checking back the turn because he thinks he is tarping. Again this is more likely if he is bad.

Either way, you lose.

I guess the question is whether he can take this line with worse Qx. I'd say that's unlikely because he would only check back the turn to pot control, and if he's done that becuase he's scared of the flush, he'd be unlikely to raise river (because the flush still beats him LDO).

Can he ever have air?

Yeah, he didnt play his very hand well. Weirdly enough, i see this more (MUBS, but usually from 15/4 type of players). So still, i'd fold the river thinking villain is an idiot.

villain is down 20k playing 50nl how is this even possible? i leveled myself into calling thanks to my own bet sizing, i figured i looked totally FOS and villain picked up on it (fullhouse,flushes, vbet way bigger, could be ultra thin vbet etc).

That turn card completes a lot of draws. Not sure why you think it's bad for villain to check that card.

FWIW, I would certainly take noet of villains bet size on the flop with middle set on that wet of a board. pretty horrible.

No wonder he's lost 20k.

Theres the draws and the set, and it looks like he got there ........ but he lost 20 k..... how do anyone loose that much in the micros ????

Fx. bluffshoving river IMO :-)

There is KQ, QJs J10s, AQ, 67s for at to pair hand, some pp and pure Air in the range too. AA KK could slow down as the flush hits...
Horrible played preflop but hey hes looooooooooosing.
So i actually wouldent think its a big mistake calling with trips........ but you ran into a boat i guess :-)

IMO, because he is missing a value from (mostly Qx) hands with a single diamond.

unless villain is super tricky/good, a check turn, followed by a river raise is always an incredibly strong hand

Minus 40,000 bb's ... nice. How many hands does that take? Sick self-level on that call. I understand how you got there though ... attributing good strategy to our villains is a major leak imo.

FWIW, with the board showing straight, flush and house possibilities am I the only one thinking this might be a good place to check/?call? river with toppest trips given villains ag factor?
