Turn is a mandatory give up.

EDIT: (To add some substance.) The turn card improves his flop calling range. Some of his hands improved to pair and a draw. Some improved to the nuts. You have no equity so you should be giving up. Once you do barrel the turn this river card is not awful to barrel as its essentially a blank and the strongest part of his range should be raising you on the turn. It all depends on how cally he is.

this. you can even go so far as to c/f the flop if you think he will call one street with a PP. there really isn't any great barrel cards besides non-club aces.

Well once you barrel the turn, you have to barrel the river.

But like Maxaon said, the turn is hardly a scare card and in fact improves Villain's hand a lot of the time.

It's pretty bad, you want to barrel a card that doesn't improve your opponents range and/or improves your equity in some way (flush draw etc) and/or hits your perceived range like an Ace.

Why is the flop bet standard? Thats a super wet board. Especially against a solid TAG.

He's calling with better and floating you alot here

Flop CBet: 3/10 Dont like it for reasons above

Turn CBet: 0/10 Total Spew he is not folding enough here.

River CBet: 6/10 I think a bet is alright here since you bet the turn and Villain can have a missed flush draw, 9x & underpairs to the Queen that he might consider folding. However Im not in love with the bet size.

Tight, Aggresive, 3Bet leans towards be a little more solid.

Sounds like a solid TAG to me according to what you posted.

He's a solid nit but essentially you're right.

Like others have said, one of the worst cards in the deck to barrel on the turn. Just give up. But yeah you gotta fire the river once you fire that turn.

Sample is only over 62 hands, so we just know he's not crazy. We don't know anything about his actual stats, just that they aren't something like 82/19 with a 72% 3-bet.

I almost always c-bet here OOP but I hate c-bet then c/f turn as a line, so sometimes I'll check flops like this when I don't have any back door draws/overs that give me opportunities to barrel on.

Anyway as played c/f turn. C-bet flop then c/f turn is fine, I just hate taking that line too often.

think about how an 8 helps a calling range on a Q94 board.

is it a scare card for things he called the flop with?
Qx? no
9x? no, probably gives 2 pair or pair+str8 draw.
straight draws? no, helps them, either giving a straight or pair+str8 draw.

bad card to barrel, helps a lot of his range. good cards wouldve been K/A/2.
