Just sat down so no stats on player.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

MP ($65.95)
Hero (CO) ($111)
Button ($57.15)
SB ($50)
BB ($70.30)
UTG ($50)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9, A
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, SB raises to $6.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $4.50

Flop: ($13.50) 3, K, 8 (2 players)
SB bets $8.50, Hero raises to $20, SB calls $11.50

Is this raise ok?

Turn: ($53.50) A (2 players)
SB checks, [color=#CC3333]Hero ???

Do I push it here?

Any advice appreciated

I really hate the PF call.

Flop play is fine, I agree with Navie, check the turn and try and get value on the riv.

Calling 3 bets with A9o is generally not a great idea. Fold pf but as played flop is fine. With 50bb behind just shove and get calls from jj,qq with a diamond or like a stubborn kq etc.

As the others said, fold pre-flop. As played, I don't hate the flop raise. On the turn, I'm checking, and calling a bet on a blank river. If it's checked, I'm betting the river if checked to on a blank. Obviously, a diamond river plays itself.

open fold preflop. as played, fold to the 3b.

flop is the easiest shove in the history of 3b pots.

I dont mind the raise preflop but the call was not +EV especially if you have no stats on the guy. try as hard as you can NOT to call anybody preflop at these limits only if you have a very specific reason for it like having a small pair and hoping to hit trips against a tight player. the bet/call by villain has to mean he has JJ-QQ w/ diamond, AQ w/ diamond. I dont see him calling your bet with AK, I think he shoves there. good turn card for you although it might help villian..... I doubt he has AQ. so he checks....... I hate to check the turn but I think you have to. If you bet I think hes only going to reraise you with a better hand like AQ or a set. also check because if a diamond hits the turn you can get value for it if he indeed has a J or Q of diamonds. a shove is definitly not bad here but i think a check is better.
