First post long time reader

Villian is 35/3/1.5 over 100 hands

My read and thoughts: He insta check called on the flop and turn so i put him on something like 9T,TJ,JQ,JK,89,9T,AJ maybe even QK, i think hes calling $2.5 more with position with most of the hands above is that a fair assumption? Atleast thats what ive found at these limits on party. If he had overs or a set he would of raised the flop or turn.

Party Poker $50 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

UTG: $50.67
MP: $50.50
CO: $35.82
BTN: $92.42
SB: $145.66
Hero (BB): $59.72

Pre Flop: Hero is BB with 8 8
2 folds, CO calls $0.50, 1 fold, SB calls $0.25, Hero raises to $3, CO calls $2.50, 1 fold

Flop: ($6.50) T 8 J (2 players)
Hero bets $4.75, CO calls $4.75

Turn: ($16.00) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $11, CO calls $11

River: ($38.00) 7 (2 players)
Hero??

He had $17 left at the river. Thoughts on his range and what to do on the river?

thanks

+1, especially since you're not going to fold to a river bet anyways.

Is a 6 BB raise the norm for your pre flop raising? I tend to believe that people who mix up their raises (unless of course the hands is full of limpers etc.) tend to give away too much information about their hand. In his eyes, your raise pre flop would look like a medium strength hand that doesnt play well against high cards (Q, K, A) and so I think it's reasonable to assume he had you on high suited connectors or JJ-small pp's. His thought process may be that he could out flop you by playing his roayalty or catch a flush draw playing suited connectors. Has he limp-called with any suited connectors before?

However, something to note is that he's playing less than 100 BB's deep which would lead me to believe that he's not a player who would think that deep into a hand in order to try and out-play you post flop (although everyone knows how to slow play made ahnds so that is the exception to this). This contradicts the above point so I'm thinking he's probably on a 2-pair hand (TJ or 8T) as this would fit his pre and post flop play. Either that or he hit with some sort of KJ-KT combo.

I think I'm definately shoving the river though.

Raising 4BB + 1BB/limper is the norm.

To the hand I am not sure if I shove here, it's tempting but I think he had a draw otherwise he would have raised you at one point.

But I think you can shove.

If he were an aggressive player, I'd be tempted to check-call the river so if he's bluffy he might shove on you with more hand than he's going to call with. But he's a station, and folding really isn't an option, so you should just shove for value.
