Why would you bet the turn after he checks to you? Check and hope to hit your full house on the river or hope you have pot odds on his river bet to make a profitable call. His call preflop could have easily had a 7, since he was in the BB with two people in the pot and closing the action. Check right behind him on the turn and if he bets river, evaluate your hand there with pot odds. Right pot odds, call and say damn when he turns over the 7. Big bet, you're beat...
