villain is unknown. like/hate the flop 3bet? on the turn, i figured a) it might be difficult to get paid if i checked back and then hit the river and b) i probably had pretty decent FE vs any non-2pair+ hand in his range, which i think is a pretty significant part. thoughts?

I probably raise to about pot on the flop (30), I do like the 3bet since it gives you FE and your most likely flipping you get it on the flop which is fine.

On the turn if he calls your getting about 1:2.5 on your money, so you need like 28.5% equity, assuming he doesnt have a set you still have 12outs, so thats 12*2 = 24% equity.

And since you still have some FE i think its good, altough maybe close, thats why I would pot the flop when 3betting since you get in more money when ur good.

On the other Hand, just calling on the flop here is probably best, since your in position and the minraise gives you amazing odds to hit your fd/gutter.

I don't like 3betting these boards, if the board was J 9 X cc i'd prefer it alot more, not because of our overs but because we can easily rep an overpair and alot of players find it hard to fold Ax here. I usually just call the flop and play from there

I think villain called pf from big blind anc check-minraised-called for one third of his stack....
You have no fold equity against his Ax. And you will have no problem getiting paid off on river.
no point in betting the turn, just hope to hit.
calling flop is probably better here, though I love to get it in and see the cards fall.

I don't like the 3bet on the flop. You pretty much rely on fold equity from that point on which virtually doesn't exist anymore. Call.

i would just shove over the stupid minraise. there's already 17.50 in there.

shove 3bet is the most +EV play here, balance it by shoving your sets also. We have 45% equity against an ace + fold equity = +EV, also we don't have to worry about when the turn bricks

i don't like the shove. Villian is unknown we don't know if he is ever folding an ace here. I'm just calling and reevaluating the turn card. I'm a bigger fan of the shove when we are OOP
