Villain goes into the tank...

Villain is 29/8/4 over 124 hands, but kind of weak-tight postflop. He'd made a Hellmuth style rant earlier when a player called his raise with AT. I think his range is pretty much only Ax here, and from his earlier play I felt he'd be capable of a fold on this board. Thoughts?

If he's weak-tight and has the "OMG he checked the turn and POPPED EM ON THE RIVER he must have TRIPSSSS" mentality, I'm liking this.

Make it more though, like $26.5 so that the chance of a curiosity or frustration call goes down.

i don't like it. the guy is ******ed, maybe tilting, and has top pair.

His range is mainly aces here, and I don't see him folding anything around AT or above, I don't like this.

... wouldn't you bet the turn with a jack to continue getting value out of an ace? I don't see you repping much with your line other than 99.

Also, it's very likely that he has a jack given the line. I mean ... I see him talking himself into a call here UNLESS he has missed diamonds specifically. So ... you MIGHT be bluffing with the best hand.

I don't see why you're so certain he can't have trips here. Doesn't really matter I guess as he obviously isn't folding any Jx so you're just concerned about various Ax hands. Depends on specific reads and just how weak-tight he is, could be good I suppose, but I think it's almost always a bad idea to try to make top pair fold when you rep nothing and your betsizing gives him good odds to call.

3/10.

why does villan have to have top pair here initially? i think its safe to say villan has tp when he goes into the tank but he could have bet with a missed gutshot or even pure air.

i like it.

Don't really like. As said above Villain has to be repping Ax. I would raise more here, Villain is calling $13 into a $24.50 pot. If he pegs you for a decent player who bets for value then hes probably dismissed the notion of any J. He might have you on Ax or even a busted flush draw. I'm calling 1/2 the time if I'm holding Ax depending on what type of player I peg you as.

Seems fine to me. Good way to deal with people that float a lot.

people never ever ever ever ever fold top pairs with no kicker whatsoever at nl25-50 even for stacks. never. and also checking turn then raising river looks pretty much fos - if he is bad enough to float oop in these spots, then bet turn
