Villain is 27/17 over 131 hands and should not have much 97s here imo, but I am also uneasy about going for 3 streets w/TPMK

WPN, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (SB): $60.75 (121.5 bb)
BB: $123.13 (246.3 bb)
UTG: $41.79 (83.6 bb)
MP: $60.71 (121.4 bb)
CO: $38.55 (77.1 bb)
BTN: $65.86 (131.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J K
3 folds, BTN raises to $1, Hero raises to $5, BB folds, BTN calls $4

Flop: ($10.50) 8 K T (2 players)
Hero bets $3, BTN calls $3

Turn: ($16.50) 6 (2 players)
Hero?

As there many draws I bet 3/4 or the pot on the turn, and push river that complet my draw. Or check call river on many rivers with no straights. Maybe a bloking bet river 1/4 on missed flush.

Thanks for your reply. My concern with betting so big OTT is that we just isolate ourselves vs better TP combos

Given how connected the flop is villain should have a lot of drawish/speculative type of hands on the turn, so I might decide to check call. There's not a lot of value hands that will continue to call us down here so I'd rather check and hope he goes bet bet with the weaker parts of his range.

I would go bigger otf so we can push turn. As played bet small and if he raises we can call or 3bet. Don't think we should worry about better Kx because KT K8 raises flop most likely. KQ might allso. Should never have AK here.

In practice, I feel like this hand makes the most money by letting villain stab on the turn. I just check the turn without a read that villain likes to bluff catch pretty wide. If it checks through, we get to fist pump value bet the river which is nice.

It's looking like he's a fish, so either a check or small turn bet seem fine. I'd probably bet because he's going to call with worse pairs and FD/SD, and there are a lot of good rivers where he's going to pay you off.

I am fine sizing up otf to charge draws because the board is fairly connected, but imo shoving ott just lets villain play perfectly.
