something like the 4th pot this guy has gone beyond the flop. Previously when he's shown down he's showed hands that are at best described as marginal. However I"ve made thin river calls on him before because "x card shouldn't be in his range" and he's had that card (ie there was a 4 to a straight, I had decent two pair, and he shouldn't have had a ten...but he did, go figure).

Anyhow feels like he decided to pull a float on the flop, except when I bet it screwed his plans up a bit, so he went for the 2nd cheapest option. I dunno read could be off tho. At the time I thought his stats were like 40/30/3. However I just checked and he was 22/18/3 (lol?). Postflop reads are still the same regardless.

if you expect villian to be like a 40/30 i def 3bet this pf. If you think villian is aggro i dont mind a donk bet b/c it may induce a bluff but id probably only make it like $2. But id probably just go for the c/r if you expect him to bet worse hands and still call raises thinly. Given that you think villian is donkish and could easily be drawin i dont really like a c/c tho. As played, on turn you say you think villian floats on this board?? If so id def give him the chance to bet or bluff worse hands. Probably go for a c/r here on turn. Given villian's range and your read i dont mind gettin AI on the turn here. Really there isnt much that your behind and villian very likely could stack off w/ TP, TT, and draws. As played on turn, im not sure about river. It is a great scare card for villian to bluff at but his range probably does include some Ahxh hands but then again the turn raise doesnt make sense for that range and i cant image villian doing this w/ Ax (maybe A9?) on turn. Two pairs dont make any sense either and he plays it like the 3 helps his hand. So only thing he can represent is a hit set or slow played set on turn. Sorry if this is rambled on but i think id make the river call as well. IMO your JJ are somewhat underrepped and given read, misdraws on river, and the scare card hitting i dont mind a call.

EDIT: also like you said your line is unorthodox, which id probably not take, so it does make this situation kinda akward IMO

mh this seems fine actually, if you thunk hes bluffing there alot just calldown, c/r turn here is also not bad against this villain.

3bet pre is ofc an option

that turn min-raise is a little weird. I think I play it how you did, but i think i would toss it on the river. It's close though, and if you don't put him on the Ace, then kudos to you for going with the hand reading, i guess. It would kinda suck to call and get shown Queens. I also wonder whether it's not an oddly played AXhh.

well what sucks is a 22/18's air has a lot of aces in it, but a 43/35 or whatever has a lot of lower cards/QJ type hands that didn't hit the ace anyways. I think versus a 22/18 even if he does try to win every pot the river may be a fold, but against the latter its an easy call.

Obviously 3betting preflop is an option, and I had 3bet earlier with a pretty big hand and he minraised me. Not sure why I decided to flat this time. Guy is likely 2p2. Whoever you are :P.

easy lay down on the river.

its ok to call a min raise on the turn but i would probably toss it to any raise higher than 20.

def. 3 bet this pf vs 40/30 the guy is a loose raiser so there are tons of weak hands in his range.
vs 21/18 i would 3bet this only if the game is relatively tight. Otherwise i would call and go from there.
