This is typically the most around 40BB or so against an unknown like this person was. Though certainly depends on what I've seen them do before. Amazing what people can ship for 40 or 50 BB's, or even more lol.

Agree, if you can't share some fun hands from time to time and have a laugh then something's wrong, it doesn't have to be all hardcore theory all the time lol.

mods would say that if you don't want hardcore theory just click the BBV button on the sidebar, but it's a very different crowd that hangs out over there

If you guys are tired of threads being moved to BvB, you could always try starting a dedicated LC/NC (Low Content/No content) thread. In an LC/NC thread, almost anything goes... funny hands, monthly graph brags or whines, life drama, movies/TV/sports discussion, leveling wars, good-natured trolling, etc. I believe this forum had something similar until recently.

I feel like improving at the game nowadays requires more tedious studying which just favors the grinders more so than ever. Its easy to read a book, its not easy to get balls deep in the maths. Once it gets legalized in the US we may be in for a second Golden Age...

Since it's been legalized in PA even with just the player pool within the state the games are quite good. I'm hoping we can share pools soon with the other legalized states as well. Having it legal and easy to get your money in and out helps more recs join in the games. Would be great for more states to legalize it to get another poker boom on any level.

I'm on Pokerstars. It's the first time I've played since Black Friday online. I continued to play poker since then, but live, and honestly playing 1-2, 1-3 live I never even worked on my game. It was simple enough to just play good hands, bet hard for value, have no need to balance and come away with some decent extra money. When online became legal in PA I decided to jump in again and really start to study and work hard on my game for the first time in a decade. I signed up at Pokerstars and it was so much easier than the old days of getting money off and on, plus there are plenty of weak players in the 50NL games I'm playing, so it's been nice. The rake is worse than the old days and no rakeback programs like there were, but still plenty of soft competition.

Yup i recently started playing on reg tables again, and 50nl on PS seems really soft! Honestly I think now that sites are limiting the amount of tables and taking into account the ecosystem, games are really a lot softer. Poker isn't dead at all!
