OP- ru pushing river no matter what comes?
idk what made hands he calls with on the turn that fold to a river push.
I think i like a check behind on the river

if he just calls and then checks the river, his range is mostly bluff catchers, and this is a spot we're not likely to show up with a bluff.

If villain just calls, hero can't check river

Also if villain calls, villain can't lead river

can someone spell this out for me or answer why?

The key to bluffing is being able to tell a plausible story

What do you c/r the turn with that you wouldn't fire again on river?

55 has no showdown value here, except maybe vs a missed QJ that will fold to a river bet anyways

We are IP. If we shove the river when checked to, we force villain to bluff catch with a mostly weak range. Raising the turn and then checking the river would be a pretty spewy plan with 55.

3 bet pre, sets it up so your perceived range now include (AA,AK,AQ,KQ,KK,TT)+,77,66,76s,AT,KJ,KT,QJ,
77,66,76s,AT,KJ,KT,QJ,- is in your calling range but could also be in your 3bet range.
AA,AK,AQ,KQ,KK,TT- should only be in your raising range and rarely in your flat calling range.
It seems like your repping only KT,66,77,76 but mostly just 66,77 with your raise sizing and all.

can't credibly rep 77 or 76

unless you just dont fold to cbets ever

why would he lead out bigger with a monster when there is only 1 drawing hand there (QJ), if he has a monster he obv would want a call
