Im on a huge downswing running terrible and way below EV, and starting do have doubts on the quality of my game. So im browsing DB to study som hands. Any inputs greatly appriciated.
FI is a weak fish. Im up 3BI on him in like 15 minutes.
I didnt want to cbet flop, he had folded a lot to them in 3b pots.
If you still suggest it please name some sweet reasons why, i obviously do it against virtually every other player in the world.

You are deep and you want to stack off villain with your set. That's why I'd cbet the flop.
But once you decided to check the flop, turn is fine.

bet flop 100%. He's not folding if he has something... we want value when he has something, not when he doesn't. that goes like quadruple on this flop.

turn is fine as played, we're never folding a set here.

I know you don't want to cbet but what is his calling range of your 3bets? If you are really worried about him folding then make a super small bet on the flop or something to make him spaz.

bet flop.
if he folded to a lot of bets it's because he's mostly straightforward.
and it's not by giving him a free card and letting him hit some 3rd pair on turn that you will stack him for 200bb...
that flop is also hitting a 3bet calling range, there's no reason not to cbet.

checking flop is super bad against almost anyone bet/bet/bet. Against a weak fish hes not going to bet multiple streets as a bluff so you're better off maximizing your value against his pair and draws when he does have them. Sorry he had QJ

I wasnt sure it hit his 3b calling range, hence the flopcheck.I wasnt really looking for opinions on the flop check. im aware of all above reasons for betting it i just didnt want to.

If you think there is merit to checking this flop then you should move to play money, especially after about 6 ppl told you just how bad it was an why...

sick come back...

and your response showed a neglect for the importance of betting the flop. Your ******ed argument that you didn't know if it hit his 3b calling range is so horrid that I felt like I needed to tell you about it.

If you didn't think the flop check was fine then your post explaining why you did it and saying that you were only looking for opinions as played is very misleading and worthless.

Also looking for opinions "as played" is pointless because you should never get to the turn this way.

You seem really ignorant and I won't post anything constructive in your threads anymore. Have fun being stubborn

by accident.

stop thinking like this and your downswing might go away.

Why wouldn't you bet the flop? If you had a big A here you would bet so I think you're making it pretty obvious you have either AA, KK, 99 here when you check, especially when you 3-bet the turn. If you had QQ you would probably just c/c the turn...Just lead out and try to get more money in the middle that way. You'll get called by AX, sometimes KX (although less likely) and sometimes you'll get raised by 2pair.

the problem with checking the flop is he will chk behind with all K's, and weaker A's for pot control. He's not folding any A's and calling one bet with K, and you are not going to get paid by TT or worse even if you check flop. I say it's a good flop to fire and hope he has a decent Ace.
